Dust collects on a moving ceiling fan.
Too tired to sleep.
Time flies when having fun.
When bored, time seems to creep.
Pantry full of food but nothing to eat.
Closet full of clothes with nothing to wear.
Car wash becomes a rain dance.
There’s nothing duct tape can’t repair.
Outside has a smell when worn indoors.
Babies sense when we sit down.
Dryers have an appetite for single socks.
While not looking, that’s when things are found.
Weeks to lose weight, only days to gain it.
White clothing is a magnet for dirt.
Time shrinks shorter as we grow older.
Spare room can always be found for dessert.
Body wakes early with no alarm set.
But wants to sleep when the alarm rings.
Chocolate and ice cream make everything better.
Paper can cut with a force that stings.
A pimple on a face older than forty.
Sunburn from a cloudy sky.
Paint color changes with the light.
Water makes skin dry.
Bad things happen to good people.
Good things happen to the not-so-good.
Children are eager to grow up.
Adults long for the naps of childhood.
The contents of a boy’s pockets.
Salt highlights the sweet.
Many obscure memories from long ago,
But can’t seem to remember last week.
Don’t realize what we have until it’s gone.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
The grass is green right under our feet,
But always looks greener over yonder.
Words lose all meaning when repeated.
Mysterious. Mysterious. Mysterious.
Now repeat that line a few more times.
Slightly confused and a bit curious?
Life is full of little mysteries.
And there are bigger ones than these,
Keeping our eyes fixed above
And bringing us to our knees.
