About the Camper
Christen McKey writes, mothers, and joyfully camps, often all at the same time. She is an outdoor enthusiast and word-lover, especially when they rhyme. Her enthusiasm for writing began as a kid and was reinforced when she won a poetry award in high school. A degree in print / graphic communication then led to a career in public relations. Currently, she is utilizing her communication skills for two organizations she is very passionate about; Noble Warriors, a non-profit Christian ministry that serves churches and equips men as they lead their families, and the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation. When Christen's not traveling to state parks with her family and logging camping details, she enjoys time at home with her husband, kids, mountain dog, and little dog.
