It was one too many.

I placed a daughter-made card on one of the overcrowded, narrow display ledges mounted to the wall in my kitchen.

It was time.

Right on cue, they began to rain down on me.

Dozens upon dozens. Months' worth of saturating messages from our people during an extremely dry season more than a year ago.

A downpour then. A downpour now.

Necessary nourishment then. Revitalizing reminders now.

Ezekiel’s message of hope from the Bible to my kitchen;

That God brings showers of blessings in their season.

And sometimes He uses words as raindrops.
